1 - Blood of Elves - Andrzej Sapkowski
2 - Hunter's Prayer - Lilith Saintcrow
3 - Rosa and the Veil of Gold - Kim Wilkins
4 - Living with the Dead - Kelly Armstrong
5 - Faith of the Fallen - Terry Goodkind
6 - Eagle Rising - David Devereux
7 - The Painted Man - Peter V Brett; this book is made of awesome! It's the first in a new fantasy series and I can't wait for book two (although I ill have to, clearly). Fairly typical fantasy fair, though with demons rather than elves. Well written, good characterisation, strong plot, excellent pacing (although some may think it slow).
It had a very uncomfortable moment near the beginning but then righted it self and really took off.
Told from the perspective of the three main characters, Arlen, Leesha and Rojer and follows them as they each find their way in life after experiencing a tragedy of their own, before coming together as the book draws to a close.
A toss up between this and Hunter's Prayer for my favourite book so far this year.
We got a box of books from the book club on Saturday so I am spoiled for choice of what to read next.
